Masterplan for residences at Wayenstein
Wayenstein originated as a castle, located on the estate of Zuylestein. After a keep (around 1600) and a manor house, there was a farm house located on this plot (around 1730), whose ruins are now a national monument. The historic character and unique location are to be rediscovered as a secluded enclave for (contemporary) living. The master plan seeks to anchor the new development in the estate’s 17th century landscape, adding a new layer to its historical context. The plan is to be developed in line with self reliant, sustainable principles.
