REDscape is an agency for spatial design in landscape and urban planning. We integrate RED, the symbol of the built environment with – scape the unbuilt environment, to deliver interconnected solutions and synergies for positive change. We build nature-based systems and contextual designs that deliver healthier, greener and more sustainable living environments to enhance a sense of place. Our team works with communities and stakeholders to include all perspectives in a co-creation. REDscape works with specialists to align capabilities with projects in multidisciplinary teams to make every project a success.
Spatial Supervision
The supervisor contributes to the basic vision for an area, building, or plan, and then evaluates the design proposals of other architects or designers who are part of a larger design team. As a supervisor, the role is collaborative and consultative.
Research and Innovation
Design research is any type of spatial research in which design constitutes a substantial part of the research process. REDscape uses this approach to explore new themes. REDscape allocates an annual budget to research on a relevant topic. Whether you are a government agency, a company, or a private client, we are open to proposed ideas and co-financing. Please contact us via email with your proposals.
REDscape Landscape Architecture & Urbanism is a network firm with a core of designers and a flexible team structure of complementary experts. To fully meet the requirements of each project, compact, multidisciplinary teams (both internal and external) with additional capabilities are assembled. The firm is led by director/founder Patrick Mc Cabe (CV), a landscape architect with over 26 years of international experience in urbanism and landscape architecture in both Ireland and the Netherlands. His passion lies in transforming landscapes and urban areas to add long-term benefits. He has built a reputation with his contextual approach to regional landscapes, master plans, and public space projects. These include regional green projects, heritage landscapes, river transformations, waterfronts, and port areas, as well as campuses, squares, public spaces, and parks. His design skills are embedded in best practices and sustainable concepts, including a thematic development of climate adaptation, green infrastructure, heritage, and ecology. Patrick is an experienced leader in complex public participation projects involving multiple stakeholders.
