Resilient systems for rainwater storage and greener cities

REDscape was pleased to host an Irish delegation of city experts this week in the Netherlands to visit a cross section of Sustainable Urban Drainage projects. The challenge to develop up to 60mm rainstorm capacity as green public realm is the objective. Projects included over 25 urban city and suburban projects in Amsterdam, Utrecht, Rotterdam and Arnhem to demonstrate successes and learnings. The weather couldn’t have been worse (wettest November on record)  which is exactly what we needed. The visit was organized in collaboration with experts Thomas Klomp, Floris Boogaard and Robbert de Koning, who added their technical knowledge, research, experience, and boundless enthusiasm. Many thanks to them for their terrific input!
